Do you want a simplistic, run-and-gun, story about marines on a space station fighting hordes of undead? Then this is the story for you. I know the trend for fiction is trending towards “LitRPG”, i.e. simplistic, sequential, thin emotional content if any, “alpha”-behavior of the characters, limited consideration of any topic in depth, and typically a poor writing style. I’m happy to say that while this book is in the LitRPG style, it actually does it right. It knows what it is, the characters don’t do anything truly ridiculous, or act excessively “badass” - its just a story about killing the already dead and it was perfect for listening to while I was rebuilding a window on my porch - I could lose attention for a little bit and when I came back to the story, just a few more undead are piled at my feet.
