Many references in the book are to people or events unknown to most of you but a few minutes into the boo0k and you will be caught up in Fraser’s wonderful silliness and you won’t care.
Niigel Lambert’s reading is over-the-top as it should be.

I had almost finished downloading this when I read: “Nigel Lambert’s reading is over-the-top as it should be.” Well no. A story may be enjoyably over-the-top, but a reader who puts on exaggerated stresses and whooping cries, as this one often does, is insufferable. He reads as if he’s trying to keep amused a birthday party full of five year olds.

Anything by GMF is great fun with underlying serious notes. This is generally just great fun. Some of the nuances of the writing are lost by the narrators enthusiasm but other than that, its a great listen.
