The Bane is The Terminator meets The Walking Dead with a heart-twisting romance.
Before the Evolution there was TorBane: technology that infused human DNA with cybernetic matter. It had the ability to grow new organs and limbs, to heal the world. Until it evolved out of control and spread like the common cold. The machine took over, the soul vanished, and the Bane were born. The Bane won’t stop until every last person has been infected. With less than two percent of the human population left, mankind is on the brink of extinction.
Fighting to keep one of the last remaining human colonies alive, Eve finds herself torn between her dedication to the colony, and the discovery of love. There is Avian and West – one a soldier, one a keeper of secrets. And in the end, Eve will make a choice that will change the future of mankind.

If you are ripping these yourself, please raise the bitrate a bit. I’ve had to forgo a number of your releases because 32 kbps is simply too little in this day and age and I believe 64 kbps or aac encodes is now the norm.

Hey, you need to read this.
http://forum.internet-radio.com/faq/2055-what-does-bitrate-mean.html
If you can understand it means there is NO DIFFERENCE between 32 and 64 bit AUDIOBOOK recordings.
Because…
The 32 bits you lose (from 64 to 32) are from the high and low frequencies that have NOTHING to do with vocals…which are in the middle.
Also AAC is apple which won’t work in my palyers. Car/boat/pc/tablet/laptop/San-disk and jam-box….sorry.

From comparing the 32 and 64 kbit samples from your link, I think the difference is obvious and relevant. I wont churn you because many feel like you do, that it does not matter, but I and others s like me feel the difference between 32 and 64 is really noticable and contributes much to the experience of listening to a book. Just imagine if Graphic Audio started churning out 32 kbit encodes, they’d have to lower the price of their books considering it’s higher than average because of higher quality.

“For audio voice recordings such as lectures or language lessons preserved in wave form, bitrates of 32 kilobits per second (kbps) should be acceptable, though 64kbps might provide better quality depending on the source. Voices might sound “flat” at 32kbps, though they will be understandable. A 64kbps MP3 file made from a voice recording should sound nearly identical to the original.” source: http://www.wisegeek.org/what-is-a-good-bitrate-guideline-for-mp3-files.htm

Yes I have read that article about the legacy format of MP3 that does not accurately represent the human voice at 32 kbps more than at an understandable level, but does so at 64 kbps. AAC does but I’m not even using that for my own encodes since some people’s hardware isn’t up to speed. I’ll stop bitching now.
