Decent hero novel, good for a casual listen.
Listening to the protagonist’s roommate(halfway through), I agree with that the protagonist acts like a dumb cuck, however, it gets better later into the story.
There is actually not a whole lot of technology modification in this story, but a whole lot of banging his co-heros.
The author could have had the protagonist create more weird, quirky, or fantastical technology creations to emphasize the protagonist’s technology enhancements, however, in the end, the protagonist comes off as being no different than your typical superhero - the kind that’s “kick this, punch that, blow things up.”
The author could have done so much more with the story. Hopefully this is just how things are in the first book, as this is where the protagonist first gets his skill, and the author gets more creative with technology hacking - instead of writing constant hero-f##king (seemingly inserted for a lack of content) - we get it: they like to f##k; enough already.
Regardless, I would listen to the second book if it comes out.
