Free Torrent says “invalid path” Can you fix this? Book sounds very good.

I’ve had a few “invalid path” erors on here recently so gone back to an older version of utorrent ver 3.2 and the torrents work ok. d/l no problem

Geez people. Don’t you read the comments
or Forum??
If using uTorrent roll it back to 3.2 version
or earlier. Shut down automatic updates. Having
done this you should no longer have an issue
with Katesky’s torrents.

The trouble is that this opens you up to potential exploits. It’s why the 0-length path is read as invalid, I believe. Then again, I could be wrong.

Yeah, “potential” exploits. People have been talking about these for years, never had one example of one in the real world. Anyway, if anyone was uploading “malicious” torrents here, it would have been noticed immediately. Katesky has uploaded hundreds of torrents here. Not one has ever been shown to be an “exploit”. Just people panicking that their new version of uTorrent tells them it’s invalid. uTorrent want you to upgrade to their latest version with more ads. Since they haven’t added any useful features, they try to scare you into doing it.
