Human rights are a fiction.

broodingguy what do you mean by that? Do people NOT deserve to be treated like human beings and living creatures? Are we all not supposed to strive towards bettering the world for others? Human rights (and other rights) cover so many aspects that it’s hard to think of them all for one comment.
It you’re saying it’s a construct then yes, EVERYTHING in human societies are social constructs, politics, laws, currencies, culture, etc.

And without those social constructs civiliation as we know it would not survive. From the time small groups of people banded together to create agrarian society people have invented these constructs in order to live with each other.
Without the many social contructs society would soon falter and we would regress to a stone age soceity of hunter gather groups. Even those small groups had to invent at least some to make their societies work.
