omg I hate this book description so much. Medusa couldn’t simply just be a mythological evil monster……no! Obviously she is an innocent who was unjustly portrayed by the patriarchy….obviously she has been SILENCED by MEN! Can’t us women all relate? aren’t we all just like the DEAD lady with snakes in her hair??!?! Gad me with a spoon.

So I’m guessing this is based on Ovid’s origins for Medusa, she as the victim of Poseidon and Athena. I’m curious enough to check it out.

Not just “mated” - forced. So, yeah, she’s definitely the victim, here. If anything, tho, I’d say she was silenced by Athena. Maybe read a book?
