  As ever, a ssafety razor cutting through reams of pallid vampire fiction.
  It should be recalled that there was a great deal of entirely precedented anti-immigrant sentiment during the 19th century as well (towards cute ‘n cuddly, adorable Irish people, principally, who were busily fleeing a “managed” famine). This found expression in the “Know Nothings” aka the Native American Party (who were, of course, anything but “native” - the irony in full flight).

  Be thankful that the US Constitution was not formulated by Mr Putin. The comical Russian Constitution, like the proverbial boomerang, keeps returning ole Vlad to the halls of despotic power.

  @caesar963 Amen! The people who see through all the moote and bailey rhetoric are people who escaped failed socialism or communism has been warning the American voter of this poo storm that is hitting now. This is Mao’s cultural revolution. This is Stalin’s purge. They have made the President a strawman. Nothing he has enacted has really hurt anyone. (DACA should never have been allowed, Pelosi should have passed something for Obama to sign. Deferred action is a temporary fix).

  I hate that the news now comes with homework. We the readers or the audience have to verify what is being reported is accurate. We are being divided by the media. Give us back the days when we didn’t know the politics of our coworkers or neighbors and it was all more than ok. It was perfectly fine.

  “Nothing he has enacted has really hurt anyone.”

  This statement is insane.

  To think that any president’s policies don’t hurt someone somewhere is absurd. Even great presidents hurt people, even if every policy was constructed with good intentions. Unintended consequences are a fact of life. The problem with Trump is if you pay attention to the words coming out of his mouth, the hurts seem to me at least to be intentional.

  @caesar963 As always, direct & focused to the bullseye with faultless aim. Kept simple but significant, with no loss to elegance of expression. History is rife with these terrible “re-runs” and déjà-vu’, the most recent soul crushing treatment and urgency to flee a terrifying civil war, by Syrians. When a person or persons take huge life-threatening risks of huge magnitudes (i.e, Taking to the volatile treacherous seas, with basically a wooden door for is base, and water jugs to keep it afloat) with their children, babies etc It is obvious beyond self-evident, that what they are fleeing is akin to something out of a Flemish painters, Dante’s and Faustian HELL combined. The indifference, and apathy and even rage from people who never known not even hunger for more than 6 hours, is sickening, disgusting, demonic even and almost enough to just fully lose ALL hope in ‘human’ in the word Humanity.
  - ‘You are not welcomed HERE, but uh, Do you mind if our engineers & scientists take a trip over THERE, to admire some of those wonderful natural resource$, we can plunder, I mean admire with wonder, at?’
