A new wave of fascism has swept the world under the guise of rightwing populism, but the fascism this time is not about taking down elites - and it is just as dangerous as the last. Fascism mobilizes fearful majorities in nihilistic attacks on the vulnerable. I’m not sure how anyone could actually call Trump a fascist. Sure, he threatened to gag the press, but so did Abraham Lincoln, but his was not a mere threat. Trump spoke of draining the swamp on one hand, while offering presidential pardons to corrupt politicians, both of whom were Democrats.

Many presidents have built concentration camps. President Truman, a Democrat, was responsible for placing Japanese Americans in concentration camps. Many conspiracies have developed around various presidents who built concentration camps. It was even claimed that Obama did, at the end of his term. Obama was also responsible for building facilities to detain illegal immigrants, which included cages for children.
