Thanks for the Michael Connelly uploads, they’re much appreciated.
I guess this one was recorded before they stuck us with Titus Welliver. He is an even worse reader than actor. His men and women, Hispanics and Anglos, all talk in an undifferentiated baritone, leading to confusion in the listener as to just who is talking.

I have a way to go before I reach the books narrated by Welliver. It’s just the last 4 or 5 Bosch books read by Welliver, isn’t it? Are there alternative versions?

@Gripper - alas Blue on Black, uploaded by you a few days ago is a Welliver reading. Not to blame you, of course. In that one Rachel Walling is a baritone, but she occasionally rises to the lower part of the tenor range.

A bad narrator can ruin even the best of books. Sometimes, such as with M R C Kasasian’s and Steven Saylor’s books, to give two recent examples, I’ve managed to seek out alternative versions after struggling to get along with the narrators.

vaneyck, I agree about Titus Welliver.
I am sooo disappointed with the series.
Then allowing ‘him’ to mangle Mr Connelly’s fine writing with the WORST audio readings. UGH! my ears almost bled while attempting to listen.
Mr Connelly SHAME on you. I suppose you just like the $$ from Amazon
