Over four years he rode 64,000 miles round the world. Thank you so much for uploading this. I read it shortly after it was published, and it had a profound impact on my sense of myself and of how large the world was. Periodically since, I’ve reread it, and it reminds me of what it was like to be young and hopeful in the early 80s. Ted Simon narrates a brief new introduction to the audiobook, and honestly, I wish he’d read the whole thing, because he sounds better than the actual narrator, Rupert someone or other.
