So, the story is great, but after both books, my biggest complaint is Marcus Jahn. It feels like he recorded each sentence at random intervals, and without context. In a single sentence, he will go from depressed, excited, to stoic. And he’s just putting on a hat. Sarah Goldstein is great. She hits each line with the proper cadence, and adds to the immersion of the story. I can’t quite picture Marcus’ version of the Ohian surfer he seems to be portraying.
