I would really like to know what the difference between Teen and Young Adult is.
In any case these books “The Brotherband Chronicles” are at best suitable for the age range 8-14. I would not suggest them for anyone older then that if at all.
From an adult perspective on YA reading I actually consider them marginal at best and not suitable at worst, they may be suitable for children who are purposefully being sheltered from reality.
Thinking back I would probably have found them insulting at best as a teenager.
