The amazing thing is with these people: they can’t understand how species can evolve, they won’t accept the evidence that HIV causes AIDS, they deny vaccination hinders virus transmission …. yet they accept virgins give birth, people rise from the dead, and that magnets are alive.

…and that Marxism works (oops, left that one out - again)! Ideas also evolve, for some folks anyway. Theories become laws, or not. And yet, laws remain assailable. Keep questioning, don’t ossify. That’s not how science works. If ideas lack merit, within the empirical frame, then discard them. Otherwise, adapt. Reacting with hysteria every time a question is raised is…unhelpful. And distinctly unscientific. No necessity to escape into the comforting “us vs them” pathology, and then start throwing your poop about.
Popper might be a very good place to start, after one drops all of that emotional flapdoodle, of course.

Haha! More regressive rage against anyone who questions the orthodox. I think if you really talk to these people you find out it’s really just a hatred of God and religion and has very little to do with WUBBING DA SCIWENCE.
I doubt these people have ever done much research into anything. They are kind of like Bill Mahr’s audience, applauding anything that insults the people they hate.

Let’s not forget the full original title of Darwin’s book, “On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life.”
Not very PC but this is the bias the man had.
Perhaps we should all evolve in thought. As well as adhere to evidence based outcomes. Theories are theories. Faith is faith. Empirical data is empirical data (as long as no one has their thumb on the scale). Nothing wrong with any of the three as long as we remember what they are. Except for maybe the Catholic church and their wee problem with buggery.

Darwinism has always been weak pseudo-science that relies on government educated ’slaves’ to believe and regurgitate. Anyone with a basic understanding of the scientific method and logical fallacies can discern that Darwinian evolution simply uses the common sense observation that species adapt to surroundings to push a nonsensical, racist, evolution creation story. In case anyone is wondering whether this is a scientific critique or a hatchet job, here’s a quick synopsis about the author:
“In 1976, Bethell wrote a controversial article titled Darwin’s Mistake. According to Bethell there is no independent criterion of fitness and natural selection is a tautology.Bethell also stated that Darwin’s theory was on “the verge of collapse” and natural selection had been “quietly abandoned” by his supporters. These claims were disputed by biologists. Stephen Jay Gould wrote a rebuttal to Bethell’s arguments
Bethell was a member of the Group for the Scientific Reappraisal of the HIV-AIDS Hypothesis which denies that HIV causes AIDS. In The Politically Incorrect Guide to Science (2005), he promotes denial of the existence of man-made global warming, AIDS denialism, and denial of evolution (which Bethell denies is “real science”),promoting intelligent design instead.Bethell has endorsed the intelligent design documentary Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.”
I am a conservative, but know a quack when I see one. Don’t waste your time unless you’re a creationist wingnut looking for an endorphin rush.
