It’s the hottest summer since 1976, but private investigator Billy Rucker is doing okay. Tracking down missing teenagers in a city the size of London requires skill, patience and more than a little luck. And luck certainly seems to be on his side when Mrs Bradley asks him to look for one her twin daughters, Lucy. For just that morning, while searching for another missing person in Camden Town, Billy had caught a glimpse of her. So, all he need do is hang around the same area and sooner or later Lucy will appear.
However, it is exactly when Lucy does appear that Billy’s luck most definitely runs out. And Billy is left at the centre of a murder investigation - with only one way out..
