thank you a lot for this.
from what i understand the book has a beginning a middle and an end but he didn’t quite finish working on some scenes before his death, so some parts of the book may seem rushed and not up to his usual level of awesomeness :(.
but i simply can’t NOT read\listen to it.
(also, his daughter said this would be the last discworld novel published, even though i think there were still some in the works)

Oh, it’s going to be hard to when I finish this, knowing there will never ever be another Discworld novel. I’m glad it ends with Tiffany Aching though.

of all the discworld novels i own, the only one i have really struggled with is raising steam, i just cant seem to get passed the first couple of chapters, for me the original almost laugh a second from earlier books just doesnt feel there for me. In fact compared to his earlier books, i struggled to find anything funny at all in those first few chapters. I tried listening to it, and it was same situation i just couldnt listen after the first few chapters, i just didnt feel any kind of connection to the book, which is really odd for me, since i have loved his discworld books. Maybe after listening to this book, i will go back and try again, the writing is excellent, but aside from that it feels nothing like a discoworld novel and more like a huge rush job. I just hope this (book 41) has a lot more humor and easier to listen to than the previous book.
