you can split these books up yourself by chapter to mp3 format with yermak/AudioBookConverter. its a free opensource software on GitHub. Alternatively use Smart Audiobook player with .m4b format. This is my preferred method.
a complete collection of unabridged books that are available in audio format, and an extra from the author.
The books are ordered by publishing date.
The Book of Lost Tales Part one and Part Two are both ripped from audio cosset tapes. this is why the file size is so big and quality so low. they do not exist in any other format to my knowledge.

Sadly, most of the audiobooks are corrupted. The ones that are completely corrupted are: 1 - J.R.R. Tolkien -The Hobbit (Rob Inglis) // 2 - J.R.R. Tolkien - [The Lord of the Rings - 01] - The Fellowship of the Ring (Rob Inglis) // 3 - J.R.R Tolkien - [The Lord of the Rings - 02] - The Two Towers (Rob Inglis) // 4 - J.R.R Tolkien - [The Lord of the Rings - 03] - The Return of the King (Rob Inglis) // 6 - J.R.R. Tolkien - The Silmarillion (Martin Shaw) // 7 - J. R. R. Tolkien - Unfinished Tales (Samuel West) // 8 - J.R.R. Tolkien - The Book of Lost Tales Part one // 9 - J.R.R. Tolkien - The Book of Lost Tales Part Two.
Since these files are in the m4b format, I tried several software programs, in hopes to recover them, but most have only one or two minutes of audio at the very beginning.
The other (5 files), are OK.

When I found the files were corrupted, I used a different torrent app to download again… with the same sad results: Eight bad files.

i just redownloaded the base files. worked in vlc on my pc. worked in Smart Audiobook player on my phone. sounds like you are using a trial version of the software you tried. i just converted the hobbit to mp3 with yermak/AudioBookConverter just fine. its a free opensource software on GitHub.

Anyone who says the files are corrupt needs to learn how to use a simple audio player.
My only complaint is the LOTR trilogy needs to replaced by the phil dragesh reading. Best version no question, perhaps I will upload them.
