Seconded, Dktz1 is a conservative snowflake, who lives in a perpetual state of being triggered by the things their corporate oligarchs say are bad. This book is good. Its full of humor and leaves little room for anything else.

Don’t make this into a warning label. That has no effect on the story and is consequently irrelevant. Nobody is gonna read it or not because a side character doesn’t have determinable sexual characteristics. Do you want this label because it would keep a good chunk of people away? Because it will only be seen negatively, in this case. I’d see it as queerbaiting, btw. So no points for that

The synopsis sounds like what someone unfamiliar with war and has no soldier friends, thinks what soldiers are like. As if every soldier is a 13 y/o non-stop CoD player.

It is weird that people here all assume an LGBTQ tag would drive people away, instead of bringing in more readers.
In any case the book is very inclusive and has several positive LGBTQ elements. *very minor spoilers*
The characters positively discus and are sensitive to transgenderism and fluid identities.
The protagonist acquires a legendary evil artifact that disguise itself in the staff equivalent of drag.
A lesbian marriage is officiated under the auspice of the protagonist.
All of this and I am only halfway through the book. The author is clearly trying to be inclusive and should be credited as such.
