This is a truly terrifying book.
I was as appalled as anyone by the events of 1/6, and broadly speaking I was glad that so many patriotic Americans seemed eager to support the FBI in identifying the bigots and zealots who had attempted to end American democracy.
But Ryan Reilly points out the potential dangers of relying on vigilante justice, at the same time as he accepts that it is difficult to see how wholesale attacks on the legal system can be handed any other way.
It is a dilemma everyone who values democracy needs to be aware of, though it’s easy to see why some political movements, and many churches, would prefer nobody noticed.

Vigilante justice? I’ll need to listen just to figure out where that’s coming from. Helping the DOJ catch criminals isn’t the same as hunting down and punishing criminals yourself.

The word vigilante is used once, in a Washington Post quote. I didn’t find the book terrifying. People put lots of information online, no one should expect to commit crimes and not be identifiable. This is just an explanation of how the search happened and what motivated various people to be involved. There are concerns raised, but the one that resonated with me is the conservatives in the FBI who didn’t want to bother with tracking down or prosecuting anyone involved. Interesting narrative though.

It’s extreamly hard to call it a justice system when you have judges and procicutors willing to throw the laws out the window to obtain convictions in massivly biased jurisdictions where 95% of the residents/jury pool are rabid leftist demogaugs. Where you have judges that can read the law and not see where evidence is being witheld from the defence. That’s not a justice system, it’s a kangaroo court system where the railroad is the only road.

Your level of outrage regarding J6, is about equal to the level of ignorance and contempt for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The wording is unequivocally clear that the people have a right to replace a government that is hostile to them. Now all the cowards, mostly of the left but many on the right, are willing to let their countrymen and women rot in solitary for years at a time for committing no crime, like a tinpot dictatorship in Africa. The USA is on its last legs thanks to those collaborators.

Google “Project 2025”
Trump’s team (Miller and Bannon) are working with the Heritage Foundation, Conservative Partnership Institute and the Center for Renewing America, and is developing a plan called “Project 2025″ that would deploy the military domestically under the Insurrection Act. The plan includes draft executive orders.
He plans to deploy the military against the American people and enact his “vengeance” against anyone who he deems an enemy.
