Hey thanks for uploading this. and i want to download better stuff like you but when go to buy books at audible they only sell it 32kb for mp3s. where r u getting your books cause I want to get mine there to. ty

Thanks for uploading this I’ve been looking forward to this audiobook for a while, don’t understand why people want 32kps its sounds tinny and has to many compression artifacts, for me 64kbps in mono and 96 stereo minimum especially if its a male reader and/or the audio has been transcoded badly.

Lol I remember the first few scenes in the first book where kyle is talking to his children. I remember that scene bec I remember thinking at the time that this is one boring book. 9 books later and I’m still following kyle’s adventure! Infinite tnx to the uploader and to larson! Fan for life.

Typically low bitrate, say 32k, is better for audiobooks because
there is a risk of salaiva interrupts or whatever…
since youre will be interacting with that single person, narrator, for 10 hrs or more.
This is not music or movie, youre suppose to be less interested in actual sound,
i.e. the stuff that happening will be IN YOUR HEAD!
what may be problem thou, are bad settings at the time when encoding happened.
reason of audio hiss or other artefacts is caused most of the times by keepping
to high sample rate for too low bitrate.
f.e. som encoders (like LAME) will make audio very bad when used sample rate
44kHz with MP3 bitrate 32k. 44kHz is native for audio CDs, so there is extra encoding phase,
sample rate conversion, needed when encoding.
Use sample rate 22050Hz for 32k mp3s.
