It is impossible to reverse Type 1 Diabetes - a damaged pancreas is forever. You can reverse Type 2 - the so-called lifestyle diabetes.

It ‘is possible’ to reverse Type 1 diabetes but it depends on how badly damaged the pancreas is. The pancreas can recover if it not fully ‘damaged’, and it can take time. Stay on insulin long enough and yes, it will stop functioning all together. From personal and family experience.

solarsmurph - I really hope your not advocating that peeps with diabetes type 1 to stop taking their insulin! The very vast majority of cases for diabetes type 1 today are pretty much irreversible, because a combination of good doctors and high end tech such as mri machines so they can get in and see the images produced to see how bad the pancreas is damaged.
Never the less, even in such cases as people doing keto with diabetes is both extremely danerous and just irresponsible.
The only scientific evidence points to how dangerous this diet is. Your mesing with your metabolism through your liver functions. Your having low carb and very high fat diet diets, and the complications that can bring. The chances for people to reach keto is extremely low for a variety of reasons. The author of this book is advocating dangerous practices and is using lies to sell his books.
