  I’m not a supporter of moslems. I view Saddam Hussein the way I view a large stone: I don’t have any feelings for it.

  But I feel compelled to answer this question. There’s truth in his death speech (the speech he gave in court before he was ultimately hanged). He was both brave and stupid.

  My thoughts are: the fool brought this upon himself. He has no one but himself to blame for what happened to him, his family and his country.

  The typical pro-democracy and human rights Americans you meet on the street will never admit this (although deep inside their hearts, they know this to be true): The US murdered Saddam Hussein in cold blood. They set up a kangaroo court made of people who are friendly to the US. It’s no surprise that this kangaroo court found Saddam guilty and hanged him. If the US is a man and not a country, this man would have been captured, put on trial and competently convicted of murder by any district court in a small county.

  I was very young when the US invaded Iraq (after the 911 attack). I only read about second Iraqi-US war last year and did lots of research on it. The following are the facts of the invasion, and they are undisputed.

  1. Saddam Hussein had no links to the Arabic terrorists who hijacked the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon. All such links go back to Saudi Arabia. Iraq had nothing to do with Obama bin Laden.

  2. There weren’t ANY weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The US fabricated all these lies bout Saddam being capable of destroying an American city within 1hr. Think about this for a minute: if someone breaks into your house late at night armed to the teeth with deadly weapons, you’d use WHATEVER weapons you have in the house to defend yourself against the invaders. If Saddam had any weapons of mass destruction, he would have used it when the American aircraft carriers reach Iraq.

  3. When Bush declared war on Saddam Hussein, no country in the world dared to stop the Americans. The US is the most powerful country/bully in the world. Only sycophants and bootlickers like the UK and Australia agreed with the Americans and helped in the war. The war was NEVER sanctioned by the UN making the war ILLEGAL. The second US-Iraq war should have been called ‘the illegal INVASION of Iraq’.

  4. Saddam Hussein was a stupid man. He and his family could have continued to live like kings in Iraq (like Admiral General Aladeen in the 2012 movie The Dictator). Instead he antagonised the Americans and played bravado/macho man with the Americans. He didn’t have any nuclear weapons up his sleeve that would have given him a position of strength to challenge the US. In fact, Saddam’s military power is really pathetic and hardly a match for the awesome might of the American military. The US knew this and was actually lapping up on Saddam’s defiance and open challenge as an opportunity to invade his country. Saddam dared Bush to attack him. He and the lives of his sons paid for his foolishness.

  5. After the invasion and capture of Saddam, the US used the excuse that ‘Saddam Husein murdered tens of thousands of lives in the 80s’ to justify the invasion. This is really funny & ironic because by invading Iraq, the US is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civillians as a direct and indirect result of the war. Countless are still dying everyday.

  6. After the war, a power vaccuum occured in Iraq. Terrorists like the ISIS sprung up like mushrooms and became powerful and turned the country into both an anarcy and a slaughterhouse. There’s no one in control in Iraq. It’s a lawless country now. Not only that, the ISIS exported its cancer throughout the world striking fear into the heart of anyone. ISIS gave a new meaning to beheadings, islam and terrorism.

  7. The invasion of Iraq taught a very valuable lesson to many countries like North Korea: ONLY NUCLEAR WEAPONS WILL DETER THE US. Kim Jong-un knows that without nuclear weapons, North Korea will never be safe from an American attack. He knows that the only way to keep the US from attacking his country is by threatening the US with nuclear ballistic intercontinental missiles. Invade me and I’ll launch my nuclear missiles and wipe out your cities. The US does not fear ANY country in the world. The ambition of the American military knows no bounds. Its only fear is the American voters.
