The coalition of the fringes replacing those bad people in flyover country as Real Americans. I wonder if Mr. Rubenstein has ever been to an American city besides, NYC, Miami and Los Angeles.

I’m sure Wynton Marsalis on music will be extremely fair and even-handed.
Who am I kidding? It will be about how all music after Miles went electric is invalid, and how everything him and his brother do is intrinsically correct.

@jsynapses: I’m a coastal lib (half liberal, half libertarian) who has been bushcraft training deep in the flyover, and it has certainly changed my view of how I perceive things.
First time out, past the dilapidated barns and southern heritage flags and III%er gear, I was wondering what the flip I got myself into. But now have returned several times and have a different take on who folks in that area are.
Still not bought into all the paranoia and grievances, but definitely worth getting some perspective on what self-reliance means to folks in the red-states.
