After the Kavanaugh hearings, I’ve got to say, there has been no better time for a middle of the road independent candidate to come along and sweep the 2020 elections.
Put in a fair minded neither all left or all right person on the stage that has some personal appeal, and they could easily win enough votes from both parties base, which have become sickened by the fetid mess that both parties have become.
Trump was a poor candidate, and Hillary was worse. And neither party has a good candidate sitting in the wings. You can’t polarize the politics without leaving a large gap for someone with some common sense to step up.

I am British, I can’t, and don’t try, to argue American Politics. A system that grades Obama, who would be in the middle of the right wing of any developed European country, as a Communist is something I will never be able to grasp.
