if Trump won in 2020, he can’t legally run again in 2024. If Trump didn’t win in 2020, he’s collecting funds illegally for a campaign to prove he won. So, whether you believe he did or didn’t win, he can’t actually get into the White House again. What he CAN do, is keep collecting donations, and then support someone who’s licking his butt, and then take the credit if that person wins and blame the country if that person loses. Then, he can keep collecting donations for a pretend run in 2028.

I think he’d have to be formally judicially barred from a 2024 candidacy. I don’t think that’s happened; and is he really likely to be judicially barred from running? Is there a precedent?

If you look at the grand arc of human history you will see the steady march toward a more progressive and liberal society. MAGA is on the loosing side. They may be a bump in the road but they are on the loosing side. History will look back at MAGA as an another episode (think 1930’s Germany) of many people being conned by a sociopath and buying his line of rubbish hook, line, and sinker.

Trouble with the grand arc of history, & Whig history generally, is that it chaotically crashed into the ideological apocalypse of the 20th Century. Totally agree about the ridiculous categorising as ‘true crime’, but that’s up to the poster, not the authors.
However, and as an Aussie, I can reassure you that citing our latter-day export, Ms Devine, never does any argument credit.
This is a woman who claimed, on no basis, that a kid with dwarfism was faking it. Left the country shortly after being sued and losing a truckload of money.
Grifter of the highest order, and basing her entire career on spouting whatever catchphrases she thinks ultra-conservatives want to hear.
