More of these, please! It started EXTREMELY slowly (you had to go more than half-way through before it took speed — I would never have kept going, if the readers weren’t so good) but by the end, the characterization and the plot were so compelling I can’t wait to read/hear the rest of the series.
There’s a particularly fine all-knowing half-hero/half villian former CIA guy — so fleshed-out, it feels like I know him for real.
I think it’s this writer’s first book and now that he’s gotten his feet wet, the subsequent books in the series will zip right along.
But be forewarned: when I say it starts out slowly, I mean really! I use this android app Smart Audiobook Player where you can set the reading speed faster. I had to set it at 1.2 — 20% faster — to withstand the boredom.
Anyhow, thanks for the upload. I await the next in the series with great anticipation!

+1 for Smart Audiobook Player, if I had to leave one app on the phone, that would be it. I listen at 1.8 speed through those slow parts.

agree with Amy, one of the best productions ever. I didn’t find it particularly slow…the high concept of the piece itself is very interesting. Kinda has a Douglas Adams feel to it…

I agree with Amy’s on the book starting slow but not for long. Once you get going, it is hard to stop listening.
