pupahunt, thanks for posting. I really enjoyed the first three books in this series. Hoping book 4 is just as entertaining.

If you loved the first three books, I’m sorry this goes off the rails soon. Never a good sign when the MC starts to monolog whist killing.
It’s a good thing the MC is a master alchemist, hopefully he can whip up a version of Prozac to balance out his wild mood swings and polar opposite justifications for basically the same actions.
It stopped having battles & cultivation at some point and turned into boyband drama with magic.
Feelings, contradictory interpersonal dialog, how cute the lead character is … like this turned into a bad romance novel at some point.
