Agreed! Why can’t there be more funny/lighthearted Sci-fi or fantasy books? Guardians of the Galaxy did so well. Give me books like that!

If you’re looking for semi-similar reading, try “Project Hail Mary” by Andy Weir. It’s not exactly humor, not at all really. But it will have you giggling in parts for sure. A fantastic read all around.
Of course, there’s always anything by Terry Pratchett, but that’s more fantasy than Sci-Fi. Still worth the read.
